The Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, has condoled with teachers in the State, over the murder of a teacher Bassey Nkuphee in Model Government Secondary School Jalingo, by a former student of the school.
Governor kefas also condoled with the family of the teacher, and prayed for the repose of his soul.
The teacher was stabbed by an aggrieved ex student , who was earlier scolded by the teacher in the school premises.
The Governor condemned the action of the former student, and directed an immediate and thorough investigation on the incident, adding that no teacher deserve to loose their lives to students they have groomed.

Governor Kefas reiterates that the free education policy of his administration covers the welfare of teachers and students alike.
He concluded that the incident is a wake-up call to parents and the society to intensify supervisory roles of their wards at home and in school.
Secondary school teachers in Taraba State have suspended academic activities, to protest the incident.
