Taraba State has began recruitment of civil servants to fill vacancies created in the State Civil Service after about 3 decades.
The first phase of the recruitment was rounded off with the presentation of certificates to successful applicants at a ceremony in Jalingo, the State capital.
The recruitment into the Taraba State Civil Service is the first of its kind since the creation of the State in 1991.
The State Government says, vacancies have been created in the last 27 years, due to retirements, deaths, and voluntary exits from the State Civil Service.
In the first phase of the recruitment, over 300 candidates were shortlisted and presented with employment letters by the State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu in company of the State Head of Civil Service, Suzy Nathan and Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, John Mamman.
The State Government assures that it will continue to reform the state civil service, to meet the demands of contemporary society.
