The one-day workshop for farmers and herders in Taraba State was organised by the State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
It is one of several moves by the State Government, to address the recurring conflict between farmers and herders, which has led to the loss of lives and property in different parts of the State.
Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku, was represented at the event by the State Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, David Kassa.
Kassa says, Taraba State Government will continue to support the growth of Agriculture.
He also spoke on the State Government’s policy to promote modern livestock production.
The workshop also highlighted that the economic fortunes of the State will have a positive turn around, when harmonious coexistence is achieved, between farmers and herders.
It is also expected that both parties will have better yields, in a peaceful environment.
