The Benue state government has sealed Oracle business and its subsidiaries in Makurdi Benue State capital for alleged tax liabilities to the tune of One hundred and thirty million Naira in the last five years.
Addressing journalists the Acting Executive Chairman, Benue State board of internal revenue service, Sunday Odagba explained that the exercise was to recover tax income from all corporate entities owing the state government.
He denied the allegation of political persecution raised by the management of Oracles Business limited.
Oracle business limited located along industrial layout Makurdi was the first port of call for tax enforment officials of the board of internal revenue service led by its Secretary on the enforcement drive.
The tax enforcers then proceeded to the water processing plant located around river Benue and sealed it.
The enforcement team was also at Jagshu oil and gas station located on George Akume way.
