The Federal Government has renewed its commitment to building public trust and confidence in its Renewed Hope Agenda through innovative strategies aimed at fostering purposeful dialogue and steering the nation toward sustainable development.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this assertion at the National Discourse on Tax Reform Bills held in Kaduna.

The event, organised by the Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, was designed to spark critical conversations on the proposed tax reform bills.

With the theme “Tax Reforms: The Role of Public Relations in Fostering Constructive Dialogue for Economic Renaissance,” the discourse brought together experts and stakeholders to examine the impact of taxation on Nigeria’s economic development.

Speakers at the event stressed the importance of transparency and open communication in addressing critical national issues that affect the public.

Minister Mohammed Idris reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to democratic values, emphasising that the reform agenda aims to strengthen Nigeria’s fiscal federalism by ensuring that more resources are allocated to state and local governments.

The discussions also underscored the pivotal role of public relations in promoting mutual understanding, fostering effective dialogue, and engaging citizens—key elements for ensuring the success of the ongoing reforms.
