Teachers in the Federal Capital Territory have appealed to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike to come to their aid over what they termed discreet moves by faceless individuals to dispossess them of their lands in Idu District and Pyakasa community in the Abuja Municipal Area Council through land grabbing.
The teachers under the aegis of the National Union of Teachers, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC branch made the appeal during a protest in Idu District on Saturday.
They explained that while some of them have managed to start developing their plots, they discovered that parts of their lands have been taken over by land grabbers.

The protesters who included retired teachers said they will continue to engage in peaceful protest to get the authorities to help protect their lands.
