After about 15hours long flight from Abuja and 9hours of Covid-19 Protocols wait at the Tokyo Airport, members of the Team Nigeria have finally arrived at their Kizarasu Camp in Japan.
The 2008 Olympic games Bronze Medalist Chika Chukwumerijie, who is the Coach of Nigeria’s only Taekwondo competitor Elizabeth Anyanacho, told ait.live exclusively from the Nigerian camp in Japan, that the athletes went through rigorous protocols and checks enroute the games resulting in tiredness on arrival in camp.
Chika Chukwumerijie said that other African Countries onboard the flights with them to Japan, were Angola, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Though Japan is 8 hours ahead of Nigeria, The Olympian affirmed that light training by team Nigeria begins tomorrow.
