Another dead body of a teenage girl has been found in the Plateau State capital, North-Central Nigeria this time around the Farin Gada area, which is a suburb of Jos North Local Government Area.
The corpse of the young lady identified simply as Ruth was found dumped at a car wash close to the Farin Gada Bridge on Sunday morning, December 11, 2022 with her underwear hanging on her legs indicating she was raped before being killed by her assailants.
The situation however led to a protest in the community which created tension among residents who are mostly students of the University of Jos.

The Plateau State Police Command through its spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo confirmed the incident but did not reveal whether the victim was a student of the university. Another source however revealed that the victim is a graduate who was waiting for her call up for the mandatory national service.
As at the time of filing by this report, normalcy was gradually returning to the affected community following a quick intervention by security operatives.
