The Nigerian Army Infantry corps has assured Nigerians that it is ready to defend every inch of the country against the enemies of the country.
Commander of the corps Major General Victor Ezugwu gave the assurance at the maiden edition of the couple ball party of the infantry corps in Jaji, Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.
The couple ball party is held as part of activities of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps to celebrate the exploits of the corps towards defending the nation’s sovereignty.
It is also aimed at appreciating families of troops who are in the front line.
The Infantry Corps commander, Major General Victor Ezugwu assured of the corps’ readiness to secure a peaceful environment for Nigerians.
General Ezugwu who will now command the new Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre also noted that the infantry corps will continue to maintain its position as the nerve of the Nigerian Army.
