Human rights lawyer and attorney to Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Femi Falana on Thursday led the team that accompanied Joe Ajaero to honour police invitation for interrogation on terrorism financing allegations.
Falana, who spoke briefly at a gathering of a multitude of workers in front of the Labour House in Abuja encouraged the workers to be patient as their leader will honour the police invitation and answer all questions raised.
Before Falana address to the workers, NLC Vice President, Anthony Benjamin and National Treasurer, Ambali Akeem asked their members across the country to begin nationwide strike from midnight of Thursday, if Joe Ajaero is detained by the police.
Meanwhile, a detachment of the police and operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS were seen in and arround the Labour House, providing protection for the workers.
The police accuse Joe Ajaero of alleged involvement in terrorism financing and treason, among other serious allegations.
