One person has been reportedly abducted by terrorists in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, North-West Nigeria.
The Director of Social Communication of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Chris Omotosho, in a short WhatsApp message to AIT.live said, the abducted person has been identified as Tony Udemezue who was seized from his own house at Tambuwal, the hometown of the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal.
The victim is one of the parishioners of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto State. The incident was said to have occurred at 2am on Monday.
It said, the police have not responded despite the fact that a distressed call was put across to them by the victim before he was taken away by the suspected terrorists to an unknown location.
