The Nigerian Military says terrorist groups have resorted to cheap blackmails and propaganda in deliberate attempt to halt troops operations of mounting intense pressure against the insurgents.
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba disclosed this during the biweekly Press briefing at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
He said Troops h as be neutralised192 Terrorists and arrested 341 persons while rescuing 62 kidnap hostages during the week under review.
Buba insists that the faint strides recorded in neutralising the insurgents and their enclaves have left them with no choice but to resort to public propaganda and sympathy campaigns.
While cautioning members of the public to be wary of falling for the new schemes, Major General Buba assured that Troops are working decisively and applying every sense of professionalism while creating conditions where the insurgents cannot carry out terror or harm.
