No fewer than 35 persons have been reportedly killed with scores injured in Ngban, Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government area by suspected herdsmen.
Security Adviser to the Governor Paul Hemba who confirmed the unfortunate incident said most of the victims were internally displaced persons seeking refuge in a classroom were they were attacked last night.
According to other sources, corpses of the deceased were conveyed to various mortuaries within the area and will be released to families for burial on demand.
Two policemen were killed in the attack,while about 40 were injured.
A few days ago, about 50 persons were also killed by terrorists in Otupo Local Government Area of Benue state.
