Terrorists kill Businessman in Katsina State after N4 million ransom

Late Mubarak Salisu killed by terrorists in Katsina State

Terrorists operating in the forest area of Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State, North-West Nigeria have killed a victim after collecting ransom of N4 million. Kafur is the Local Government Area of Governor Aminu Masari.

The victim whose name was give as Mubarak Salisu, is a businessman, who was abducted by the terrorists in Dankanjiba town of Kafur Local Government Area about two weeks ago, precisely on October 8.

A source in the area who confirmed the incident said, the terrorists demanded a ransom of N20 million but after a long negotiation with the victim’s family, they came to an agreement of N4 million.

It was gathered that, unknown to the family, the terrorists had already killed Salisu during the negotiation process.

When the person delivering the ransom arrived the point of exchange, the terrorists took the money from him and showed him the remains of the victim whom, he then took back to the family.

The police and other authorities were yet to react to the development as at the time of filing this report.
