The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a farm manager, and the abduction of another person from Angwan Aso, along the Sabon-Wuse community, of Tafa Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson, Superintendent Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident, said the police are making efforts to rescue them.

‘’Unfortunately, the injured victim was taken to the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Efforts are ongoing to rescue the abducted victims unhurt,” he said.

The Police spokesperson also said that it has been observed that during the attack, the hoodlums had an encounter with a security guard attached to a poultry farm in the neighbourhood, but the guard sustained gunshot injuries, while two victims were abducted.

According to Abiodun, “On August 11, 2024, at about 0100 hours, information was received that suspected armed men had attacked a residence at Angwan-Aso, via Sabon-Wuse.

He added that the police patrol team attached to the Sabon-Wuse Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, moved to the scene, but the hoodlums had escaped with the victims.
