Terrorists operating in the Jibiya Local Government Area Forest of Katsina State, have launched a fresh attack on Daddara and Yangayya Villages on Wednesday night, killing the Village Head of Yangayya Magaji, Jafaru Yangayya, his servant, Mansur Danye and 4 others, and abducted an unspecified number of persons.
A source said the terrorists attacked the village between 11: pm, Wednesday night, to about 12:30 am, early Thursday morning.
During the attack, he said the terrorists who came in large numbers on motorcycles, raided and looted homes and shops, carted away foodstuff, rustled an unspecified number of animals, as well as stole motorcycles.
He added that the timely intervention of both the military and the police saved the attack from being disastrous, with many persons injured, receiving treatment at different health facilities in the area.

Our correspondent reports that, as at the time of filing this report, members of the community were conducting investigations, to ascertain the actual number of persons abducted or injured, and to report to the appropriate authorities, while the dead have been buried.
Daddara Village is located along the Jibiya-Katsina Road and is about 31 kilometres to the Katsina State capital.
It has in the past weeks come under attacks from terrorists operating in the forest area of Jibiya Local Government Area.
Similarly, terrorists have last night, also reportedly abducted both the driver and the Director of Administration and Finance, of the Sabuwa Local Government Area of the state.
