Following the twin bomb blast that killed one and injured 4 others at Bassa community in the Shiroro local government area, the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) says it was the handiwork of terrorists.
The group, in a statement by the Niger state coordinator, Abdullahi Erena, while sympathizing with the families of the victims, said the incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures in Shiroro LGA and its environs.
The group further called on the federal and state governments as a matter of urgency to promptly deploy adequate security personnel and bomb squads to the affected areas to prevent further explosions and to restore peace and stability.
They further encouraged the residents of the Bassa community and Shiroro Local Government Area to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information that could aid in safeguarding their communities.
