It is 3 months since the Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba placed an N5 million bounty on 45-year old Adamu Aleiro from Zamfara State, the alleged mastermind of the deadly Kadisau bandits attacks in Faskari Local Government Area. The attack which is about the single deadliest in the State leftover 50 persons dead and the State Police Command has reminded the public that the suspect is still much wanted.

Spokesman of the Command, SP Gambo Isah who stated this on his official Facebook page added that a very handsome reward awaits whoever gives credible and correct information that will lead to Aleiro’s arrest.

It could be recalled that, on June 15, 2020, during a parade of some suspects including bandits who allegedly carried out the attack, some of those arrested confessed that they launched the attack on the instruction of their commander, Adamu Aliero.

According to one of the suspects, 25-year old Bello Usman who said he killed 2 persons during the attack added that the attack was a protest on the instruction of their commander Aleiro over the arrest of his 24-year old son, Suleiman Aleiro by the police in the area over his involvement in some criminal activities.

Usman during his confession also stated that they were over 200 who took part in the attack and rustled an unspecified number of cattle apart from leaving over 50 persons dead as well as the destruction of property.

From the records, Aliero was among the bandits leaders who embraced the State Government’s peace deal before it eventually collapsed barely 6 months after the deal was reached in Faskari Local Government Area and he spoke on behalf of others during the process.
