Foreman, a two time heavyweight world champion and 1978 Olympic gold medalist came defeated undefeated Joe frazier in 1973 he defended the title twice before losing to legendary Mohammed Ali in 1974 in the rumble in the jungle.

He initially retired from the sport in 1977 after losing to Jimmy young.
Foreman came out of retirement in 1987 and in 94 at age 45 he claimed the unified WBA , IBF and lineal heavyweight titles defeating 26 year old Michael Moore in the process.

At age 46 years and 169 days foreman became the oldest boxer in history to win the heavyweight class and second oldest boxer to ever won a title after Ernie’s Hopkins.

He retired in 1997 at 48 year old with a record 76 wins, 68 by way of knock outs and was inducted into the boxing hall of fame thereafter.
Rated by the international boxing research organization as the eighth greatest heavyweight of all time, fireman was also a successful businessman.

He is renowned for his George Foreman grill which has sold more than 100 million units world wide.
