Over ten thousand supporters including a state lawmaker have dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Adamawa State.
The defectors were received by the leader of the PDP in Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, at the Isah Ahmadu Square, in Mubi South Local Government Area.
Addressing the crowd, Fintiri welcomed the decampees to the PDP, revealing that he was not surprised with their defection, because of the level of damage the APC led-Federal Government has done to Nigeria
The governor asked the people to come together to rescue democracy in Nigeria, saying the PDP will continue to do what will make the country great, in terms of development, unity, and security among others.

The Chairman of the PDP in Adamawa State, Tahir Shehu, urged party leaders across the state and Mubi South, in particular, to accommodate the decampees, and give them a fair share.
Some of the defectors are Adamu Risku and Malam Isa Idi, including the member, representing Mubi South in the State House of Assembly, Musa Umar Mbororo.
