Three Aspirants Step down for Godswill Akpabio

Three senators elected and who are aspirants for the 10th Senate Presidency have stepped down for former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The trio made the declaration after a two-hour closed-door meeting with the re-elected and new senators elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The lawmakers are the Governors of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, the former Senate Leader Ali Ndume, And The Chairman Senate Committee On Appropriation, Senator Barau Jibrin.

According to them, the duo of Godswill Akpabio for the Senate President, and Senator Barau Jibrin for Deputy Senate President are the preferred candidates for the President-Elect, Bola Tinubu.

Reacting to the development, former Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, assured his colleagues that he will work for the interest of the country, as well as ensure the National Assembly makes laws that will impact Nigerians positively.
