A three-storey building under construction at 16, Akanbi Crescent, Off Adesina-Lawani Street, Onike in Yaba, Lagos State, South-West Nigeria has collapsed trapping about five workers.

According to officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, two of the victims have been rescued from the rubble .
NEMA however laments that heavy duty equipment are being mobilised to the scene though frustrating heavy traffic gridlock which is not helping the response to save more lives.
