Bishop, Methodist Diocese of Egba and Archbishop of RIYE, Most Reverend Adegbemi Adewale has called on the administration of President Bola Tinubu to initiate more practicable policies to tackle the present socio-economic challenges in Nigeria.
Archbishop Adewale who noted that Nigerians are yet to reap the dividends of democracy under the current administration gave the remark at the 42nd annual synod of Diocese of Egba on Friday. He also noted that the administration has no basis for excuses not to deliver on its electoral promises to the electorate.
Most Reverend Adewale also used the occasion to call on Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun to ensure his policies put the people first above every other consideration.
On the return to Nigeria’s old national anthem, the clergyman said what should draw the attention of government now in the present circumstance should be how to alleviate the sufferings of citizens, and not whether or not the old anthem is better than the previous one.
