She is visually impaired, yet she engages the education minister on the challenges of the girl, especially those in her category with disabilities.
Lauza Ashiru has two other sisters who are also visually impaired, yet they pursue education with hopes to become more useful to themselves and the society.

Apart from Lauza, pelamo Nyajo tells poetry using her dissability state as her strength to promote inclusive education.
The Nigerian government makes a strong commitment to invest more in school children with dissabilities, especially girls.
The commemoration of the 2025 international day of the girl has been used by both the girls to tell their challenging stories, tasking the authorities to make stronger promises.
Only time will tell if the government promises will become positive realities in the lives of the Nigerian child.
