President Bola Tinubu has sacked five Ministers and also announced their replacement subject to confirmation by the senate.
Those relieved of their duties include Minister of Women Affairs, Uju-Kenedy Ohanenye, Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism, and Professor Tahir Mamman Minister of Education.
Others are Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development as well as Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.
Special adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who briefed State House Correspondents on Wednesday, said the president has also approved the re-assignment of ten ministers to new ministerial portfolios, with the names of seven new ministers for onward transmission to the Senate for confirmation.
President Tinubu has also named Shehu Dikko as Chairman of the National Sports Commission, while former minister of Sports, Sunday Dare has been appointed Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation working from the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
