BOLA AHMED TINUBU

Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu says, he still stands by the promise he made that the Nigerian project is achievable, saying that it is a matter of the right things being done.

Speaking at a dinner hosted in his honour by the Rivers State governor, Senator Tinubu says, governance, to him, is a serious business, and Nigeria is a serious project that requires the support and commitment of all Nigerians.

It was a dinner in honour of Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is on a two-day visit to Rivers State.

Expectedly, the night started with the gathering pouring encomiums on Governor Nyesom Wike, on the significant role he played in the victory of Bola Tinubu, during the February 25 Presidential Election.

Others who spoke described the Rivers State governor as a man of his word, a political magician and a pillar of national unity.

In his toast, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila said, the good deeds of the Rivers State governor will not be forgotten.

For his part, Governor Nyesom Wike said, the 2023 Presidential Election wasn’t about him, but about ensuring unity, equity and fairness in Nigeria.

And ahead of the May 29 inauguration of Bola Tinubu, as the next president of Nigeria, the gathering also spoke on building a better Nigeria.

The general submission was that Nigerians must, irrespective of their interests, commit themselves to the Nigerian project.

Drawing from the optimism, the president-elect reiterated his promise to build a better Nigeria.

An emotional Bola Tinubu also thanked the people and government of Rivers State for the love shown to him, since his arrival to the state.
