President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday swore in Prof. Dakas C.J. Dakas (SAN) as Chairman and Dr. Uchenna Eugene as Commissioner of the Nigeria Law Reform Commission.
The brief inauguration ceremony, held at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, took place before the Executive Council of the Federation meeting.
The Nigeria Law Reform Commission is the statutory body responsible for reviewing, updating, and reforming the nation’s laws to ensure they meet current social, economic, and political realities.

It also advises the Federal Government on necessary legislative changes to promote justice, fairness, and good governance.
During the meeting, the Council observed a one-minute silence in honour of former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, who died on Saturday, 9th of August 2025, at the age of 78.
