President Bola Tinubu has sworn in two new national commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and two new board members of the Code of Conduct Bureau.
The new appointees took the oath of office before the commencement of the Executive Council of the Federation meeting.
The new INEC commissioners are Tukur Abdurrazak Yusuf from Katsina State, representing the North-West region, and Prof. Sunday Aja from Ebonyi State, representing the South-East region.

The new CCB board members are Kenneth Ikpeme from Cross River State and Hon. Justice Ibrahim Buba (retired) from Taraba State.

Speaking to State House Correspondents after the swearing in of the commissioners, INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmud Yakubu said the commission is interfacing with the National Assembly on Electoral reform.
He added that the commission would continue to do everything within its Power to strengthen the nation’s Electoral Process.
