President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 National budget to a joint sitting of the National Assembly at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The development is confirmed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamarudeen Ogunlana, in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the budget presentation will proceed as scheduled, with lawmakers from both the Senate and the House of Representatives expected to attend.

The Clerk directed that all accredited persons must be at their duty posts by 11:00 a.m., warning that access to the National Assembly Complex will be denied thereafter for security reasons.

He also advised non-accredited persons to stay away from the National Assembly on the day of the presentation.

Except for the Clerk to the National Assembly, the Deputy Clerk, Clerk of the Senate, Clerk of the House of Representatives and their deputies, all other staff have been directed to park their vehicles at designated areas within the Annex or the new car park by the NASS Gate.

The statement urged all concerned to ensure strict compliance with the directives.
