Gombe state governor Inuwa Yahaya has called on the people of Gombe state to use the victory achieved by the President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinibu in the polls as a testament to the strengthening of Democratic structures in the country as it passes from one phase to another.

The state governor while congratulating the president-elect called on the people to use the same enthusiasm to elect leaders of the state and state legislature as the country prepares for the second round of general elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party through the senator-elect for Gombe South senatorial zone Tony Siayako called on the electoral body to look at the issues around the use of its BVAS machines in preparation for the governorship and state legislative elections.

It was barely hours after the declaration by the independent national electoral commission of the winner of the presidential elections that the Gombe state governor Inuwa Yahaya opened the flood gates of reactions to the exercise.

In a congratulatory message, the state governor says the victory of the APC is a victory for democracy and the consolidation of Democratic structures in the country

The state governor called on the people to be peaceful and carry on with the good conduct exhibited during the presidential elections to the second round of elections as the country prepares for the governorship and state legislative elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party through the Senator elect of Gombe south senatorial zone Tony Siyako Yaro acknowledged the success achieved so far but called on the electoral body to look at the use of the BVAS machines.
