Nigeria’s veteran table tennis player, Aruna Quadri will have no further business to do with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics following his loss to Brazillian, Gustavo Tsuboi.

Quadri , who is Africa’s top-ranked table tennis player lost 4-2 in a six-sets thriller,13-15, 11-9, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6 in the early hours of Thursday.

Quadri won the first game 15-13 points to take a 1-0 lead but dropped the second game 11-9 points.
He lost the third by 11-9 points before winning the fourth 11-7 to make the scores 2-2.
Aruna Quadri then faulter in the last two games losing 11-7, 11-6 to leave the final scoreline at 4-2 in favour of Gustavo Tsuboi.
This latest result means all Nigerian players in the table tennis event in Tokyo are out.
