Top-Up degree programme: NBTE insists initiative will continue

The Executive Secretary of the National Board forTechnical Education, NBTE has admitted to introducing a one-year Top-Up degree programme in Nigerian polytechnics, as reported by the National Universities Commission, NUC.

The NBTE Executive Secretary told Ait’s Abulu Osemuaghu exclusively that the initiative is a credit upgrading programme, to enhance and build confidence of HND holders in the face of dichotomy.

Professor Bugaje Says the NBTE understands the NUC is protecting its territory by publishing a statement against the Top-up degree programme.

Bugaje says the Top-degree programme is affiliated to most of the one thousand top foreign universities only.

He further says that the Top-up degree Programme is designed to be online
