Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, has called on farmers to participate actively in the government’s agricultural intervention programmes
Etsu Yahaya Abubakar stressed the need for farmers across the state to be sensitized on the government’s policies and programmes on agriculture interventions.
The traditional ruler promised to mobilize District, Village and Ward Head in his Emirate on the benefits of the initiative.

Governor Abubakar Bello told the farmers that the state government will not relent in its efforts to encourage them to attain optimal productivity.
Governor Bello emphasized that more than ninety per cent of the people in the state are farmers.
He noted that smallholders farmers play key roles in ensuring food security in the country.
