Wedding Day

A man known as Samuel Yarling, of Lamingo, a suburb ofJos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria has reportedly died on his wedding day leaving the bride and both families confused and devastated.

The wedding which was slated for March 21, at the ECWA Church Seminary, had sent two families into confusion and mourning after the sudden death of the groom.

AIT gathered that the late Yarling was set to marry his heartthrob, Helen Weze, a nurse, who according to the family is currently on admission at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital after going into shock, on learning about the death of her would-be husband.

Confirming the incident to AIT, Secretary of ECWA Jos District Church Council, Reverend Samuel Atu said that the groom fell on the ground some hours to the wedding and had a slight bruise on his head which was later treated while they headed to the guest house where he was to rest before the wedding hour.

Recounting further, Atu said that after about an hour of their arrival at the guest house the late Yarling began to vomit uncontrollably and was immediately rushed to the Bingham University Teaching Hospital for treatment but was confirmed dead on arrival.

When contacted, the State Police Command spokesperson, Gabriel Ubah told AIT that the Command is yet to receive signal on such development but assured that the police will follow up on the matter.
