Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters, have intensified operations against Boko Haram elements across Adamawa and Borno States.
In a statement signed by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East ) Operation HADIN KAI Sani Uba said troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade arrested a 28-year-old suspected terrorist logistics supplier, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General Area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops of Sector 4 neutralised a terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa during an ambush along the Visik River line. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.
Acting on further intelligence, troops also arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula, identified as a suspected terrorist collaborator and drone supplier. He was apprehended at Madagali Motor Park. Recovered from him were two aerial drones, drone accessories, and twenty solar power banks allegedly used to power the devices.
Elsewhere, in Sector 2, troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu, Borno State. During the operation, a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised. Additional logistics items were recovered.
Military authorities say the ongoing operations are part of sustained efforts to dismantle insurgent supply networks, restore security, and protect communities across the North-East.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their dedication and sacrifices, urging them to maintain the operational momentum in the fight against terrorism.
