The 12 Brigade spokesman explained that the sustained pressure from the Joint Military and Police operations forced the bandits to abandon the victims and flee deeper into the forests.
The statement noted that 5 of the rescued persons have been debriefed and reunited with their families in the Egbe and Ejiba communities, while the 6th victim is currently receiving medical attention due to his condition at the time of rescue.
The Brigade reassures residents that Troops will continue to dominate the forests, deny criminals freedom of action, and ensure the safety of lives and property across Kogi State.
The Nigerian Army urged citizens to continue to provide timely and credible information to security agencies to enhance operational success.
