Troops secure Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by terrorists

Security agencies have told the Kaduna State Government that the military has secured the Kaduna bound train from Abuja attacked by terrorists.
News of this was contained in a statement released by the Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.


It says the Kaduna State Government received multiple reports of an attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train service at around Kateri-Rijana general area and relevant action agencies were urgently contacted.


This it said was followed up by a swift and robust deployment of personnel to secure the passengers on board, Passengers were conveyed from the location and those who sustained injuries were taken to hospital.


The Government of Kaduna State is liaising with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to ascertain the list from the passengers’ manifest for an accurate inventory of all passengers and their actual status.
