Some social commentators in Yenagoa say true federalism has been practiced in most parts of the world and it does not create room for discrimination therefore there is a need for Nigeria to practice it as it is enshrined in the constitution of the country.

The commentators who spoke to ait.live in Yenagoa are calling on the Federal Government to ensure that the desires of the people are met by allowing its practice in the Country.

In the face of Incessant killings, dwindling economic challenges and increasing kidnapping in Nigeria, various ethic groups are agitating for urgent implementation of true federalism to ensure resource control at the states level.

Recently Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obansanjo and Nobel Laurel writer, Prof. Wole Soyinka made their submission on the discource of True Federalism with conclusions that implementation of resource control is pivotal to stabilize the Country

The citizens call for support in this time of Nigeria’s democracy to avert elements that could push the nation into disintegration.

The Present All Progressives Congress had previously promised to implement true federalism but nothing has been done in their six years of Governance.
