The Chairman of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has asked for what she calls a projection of the true image of the country.
In a statement realesd to the Press, she said citizens both at home and abroad need to unite against the decision by the United States to classify Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC).
“Nigeria remains steadfast in upholding democracy, religious freedom, and protection of all citizens.”
The NIDCOM boss explained that the statements issued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the matter, which stressed Nigeria’s respect for its religious and ethnic diversity, reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering commitment to mutual respect among the citizenry.
