Turkey is seeking to rescue surviving members of its Mozart’s vessel after pirates attacked it off the coast of Nigeria in the Gulf of Guinea killing one person and kidnapping 15 others.
The Turkish ship which initially had 19 crew members from Lagos to Cape Town has been abandoned by the pirates. ait.live gathered that the vessel is expected to arrive Gabon’s coast in Gulf of Guinea with the 3 crew members still on board.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has spoken twice by phone with one of the captains and crew members still aboard. He has also directed officials on rescue missions for 15 kidnapped personnel.
