Twelve killed in fresh Plateau attack

Twelve Persons have been killed by assailants in Miango Chiefdom of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, making it the Fourth attack in one week.

The attack Which took Place in two different locations of on Saturday night and Sunday Morning also
Left 19 people with gunshots wounds and are currently undergoing medical treatment at the Hospital.

The Plateau State Police Command While conforming the incident through it’s spokesman ASP Gabriel Ubah on Sunday in Jos said the command had mobilised armed officers to the place to restore normalcy and affirmed that they are on top of the situation.

While also confirming the development, Spokesman for the IRigwe People Malison Davidson, Said ten persons were killed in Chando Zerreci village on Saturday night at about 11pm while two were killed on Sunday Morning at about 10 am few ritres from the 3rd Armored Division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos and alleged that both attacks were carried out by herdsmen.

AIT Gathered, that the Fresh attacks and killings started barely one week after the collapse of peace pact reached between the Irigwe People and herders’ .

As at the time filling in this report, the twelve dead persons are being given a Mass burial, while People are being cautioned to be vigilant and watch their movement within the entire Miango Axis.
