The Kano state government and security agencies are taking preemptive measures to stop a planned mass protest over the ongoing war in the Middle East
At a joint press conference at the state police command, Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, assured that the state government, security agencies and other relevant agencies have been following developments on the matter and are on top of the situation.

The Commissioner of Police for Kano state, Ibrahim Bakori, also said one of the suspects circulating the video to instigate the protest has been arrested.
The officials say adequate security measures have been put in place to prevent any breach of the peace and ensure the safety of all residents.
