United States President, Joe Biden has offered his country’s support for Nigeria’s bid for permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
The U.S President offered the support during a telephone conversation with President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar who witnessed the phone discussion told State House correspondents that the two leaders also spoke about partnership in the area of security.

President Biden also thanked President Tinubu and Nigeria for the unconditional release of U.S citizen and Binance Executive, Tigran Gambaryan who has been in Nigerian custody since his arrest during a business trip in February.
He and his company were charged by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, with five-count charge related to an alleged laundering of some $34.4 million.
