The outgoing governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has assured a peaceful and seamless transition of power to the incoming administration.
Governor Emmanuel gave the assurance in Government House, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, while receiving the report of the Transition and Handover Notes Drafting Committee.

It is about five weeks to the end of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration in Akwa Ibom State and all machinery has been set in motion for a smooth transition process.
While receiving the report of the Transition Committee, Governor Emmanuel said he will give full support to the process and the incoming administration of Umo Eno
He commended the committee for a job well done and promised that no grey area will be left unattended.
The Chairman of the Committee and former Head of the Civil Service of the State, Ekereobong Umoh, commended the sterling qualities of the outgoing governor and the opportunity to serve the people.
Akwa Ibom State set the pace for the rest of the country by being the first to set up a transition committee after the elections.
