Manchester city and Real Madrid are through to the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League semi final.

City will face Paris Saint Germain for a place in the final while Real confronts Chelsea.

The citizens completed a double over Borrusia Dortmund with a two-one win in the second leg at the signa iduna park in Germany to qualify four two on aggregate and keep their hopes of the elusive champions league trophy alive.

Dortmund drew the first blood through Jude Bellingham in the opening fifteen minutes to take lead at half time.

City equalized ten minutes into the second half as Riyad Marhrez converted from the spot after Emre Can handled the ball in the 18 yard box.

Phil foden became the hero again when he scored the winner just like he did in the first leg to keep city in the race for an elusive champions league trophy.

Elsewhere at Anfield Liverpool was lacking the inspiration of their thirteenth player, the fans.

The Reds failed to reduce the deficit from the first leg after playing a barren draw to gift Real Madrid three one aggregate wins.

Madrid who faced Chelsea in the last four, are chasing a record-extending 14th title of Europe’s elite club football competition.
