Ukraine Crisis : Nigerians in distress zones advised to move to safety areas

The Federal Government has advised Nigerians living in Ukraine to be vigilant and calm while they take responsibility for their personal security and safety in the crisis areas in Ukraine.


In a communique issued by the embassy of Nigeria in Ukraine, the FG said anyone in Ukraine who considers the situation emotionally disturbing may wish to temporarily relocate to anywhere safer by private arrangements while doing all needful to validate their residence documents for ease of return to Nigeria if need arises.

It added that students seeking temporary relocation should seek proper clearance with their respective institutions before doing so.


Earlier, a state of emergency was declared in the Ukraine territory by the government of the land which took effect from midnight 23rd February for a period of 30 days amidst the tension in the country.
