Ukraine invasion: First Batch of Nigerian Evacuees Arrive Abuja Airport

The first batch of 415 Nigerians based in Ukraine have arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

They touched down at 6:52 am on Friday.

Sources said the Nigerian returnees who fled the Ukraine invasion to Poland will receive $100 each from the Federal Government,
upon arrival.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubairu Dada, said countries, where the pickup flights will be headed include Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.

Two flights from Air Peace and one from Max Air are expected to carry out the evacuation exercise.
