The Minister of Works, David Umahi, says the people of the South-East will remain grateful to President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing infrastructure development across the region.
Umahi made the remarks while leading members of the Renewed Hope Media Tour on an inspection of ongoing federal projects in Ebonyi State.
According to the minister, Ebonyi State had not benefited from major federal government infrastructure projects since its creation in 1996 until the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The Renewed Hope Media Tour team began its activities in Ebonyi State with a courtesy visit to the Government House in Abakaliki.
During the visit, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, led members of the media tour team to meet with Governor Francis Nwifuru.
The team later met with the Minister of Works, David Umahi, who led journalists on an inspection tour of ongoing Federal Government projects across Ebonyi State.
Speaking during the tour, Umahi said the administration of President Bola Tinubu is executing more than 150 kilometres of roads and bridges in Ebonyi State.
The minister described the projects as part of the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and boosting economic development in the South-East region.
The team also visited some ongoing Federal Government projects, including sections of the Trans-Sahara Coastal Highway and a number of bridge projects.
