Days after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari to declare his intention to run as President in 2023, Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi returned to Abakaliki the state capital to a rousing welcome.

The Presidential hopeful told his supporters that his new political project will not distract him from giving good governance to the State.

It was a carnival of sort at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, Thursday, as political associates, well-wishers and supporters of Governor Dave Umahi, in their thousands converged on the Airport Arrival Terminal to receive him.

The celebration shifted swiftly to the Ecumenical centre, Abakaliki where even more supporters were waiting to receive Umahi.

The visibly elated Governor Umahi, assured the people that his ambition will not in anyway distract him from delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ebonyi State.

Umahi said he will deepen the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari if his ambition to succeed him materialises in 2023.
