The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has pledged the commitment of the UN agency to support Abia State in the areas of technical expertise, capacity building and funding.

The resident representative of UNDP, Elsie Attafuah, made the pledge during the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Abia State Government to drive inclusive and sustainable development at the sub national levels.

The people of Abia State are renowned entrepreneurs and need just minimal support from government in terms of creating the right environment for their businesses to thrive.

Inspired by the success stories of the people, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) resident representative in Nigeria, Elsie Attafuah, said the partnership represents the commitment of UNDP to co-invest in Abia State for a better Nigeria.
